DWP update

I attended my Jobcentre today hoping to speak to the manager and deliver a letter. Of course, the manager was not available. So I handed in a letter and obtained a receipted copy. I gave my phone number and await to see if I receive a call.

This is letter I handed in:

Yesterday I attended a compliance interview with Karen. Before the interview began I told Karen that I wished to record it. She refused. I explained that I was entitled to record the interview and she stated that I was not. I therefore explained that I would attend for interview on another date when she had checked the rules.

The DWP Guidance on Compliance Interviews states:

I suffer serious mental health issues. Such an experience is extremely stressful for me, particularly as I had nobody with me.

Will you please confirm that my benefits will not be sanctioned and that you will arrange an alternative date for interview and inform your staff that they must allow me to record the interview.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully

Nicholas Wilson
