HSBC – you have to take it seriously

Back in 2005 I wrote this in a email to the senior management at the firm where I worked   “I know this is a pain but as I have said, the whole culture [of fraud] is making me ill and you have to take it seriously.”

They did not take it seriously which resulted in my reporting them to the Solicitors Regulation Authority which ruled the contract unlawful; and to the Office of Fair Trading making an order against the bank forbidding them from adding unlawful charges.

But still, 8 years on, not one single victim of this fraud has been compensated (besides those I have assisted through the Financial Ombudsman Service).  I will continue to fight for that compensation and for the perpetrators of the fraud to be held to account.

So, my message to HSBC is – you have to take it seriously.
