On August 3 2012 I reported HFC (HSBC) solicitor Duncan Hamilton and Restons, a firm of solicitors, to the Solicitors Regulation Authority for applying illegal charges to consumers accounts, for at least 7 years and possibly as many as 25 years. I have still not heard from the SRA.
However, shortly after my report I noticed that Hamilton was no longer listed as a solicitor for HSBC. I suspect that HSBC did not know about HFC’s illegal arrangement with Restons. I don’t know if Hamilton walked or was pushed.
However, on March 11 Restons announced that he is now employed by them as a consultant. Well fancy that, as Private Eye would say.
Here’s a link to Restons’ website page.
