HSBC AGM 2017

On 28 April I  attended the HSBC AGM  as a shareholder, following on from my attendance last year. I asked the bank’s Chair Douglas Flint when HSBC proposed to come clean about the massive consumer debt fraud I campaign about. He tried to mock me by stating that I had previously said the redress should be £1bn. This is not the case, I have said the total in illegal charges added exceeds £1bn. The practice has been going on since the 1970s and HSBC purchased HFC Bank in 2003. My evidence shows at least £200m in illegal charges were added between 2003 and 2009, of which I estimate £100m should be repaid.
