Screen Shot 2015-09-11 at 19.18.09Both the House of Commons and the House of Lords have become involved in attempting to get answers, unsuccessfully. The Treasury Select Committee questioned FCA CEO Martin Wheatley about their collusion with HSBC to cover-up the fraud and lack of action.

The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee has written to HSBC’s chair Douglas Flint asking him to comment on the charges. He declined.

And I intervened at a Public Accounts Committee hearing, chaired by Margaret Hodge when they questioned HSBC about various matters, to make them aware of the fraud. I was bundled out of the building and nearly arrested.
