When will BBC censorship of HSBC end?

Screen Shot 2016-02-16 at 17.34.48Yesterday it was announced that Rona Fairhead is “stepping down” as Chair of the BBC Trust. Theresa May has stated that the new role must be opened up to fair competition and Fairhead clearly doesn’t recognise such a concept and will not be applying. I have written extensively about Fairhead’s original corrupt appointment by Cameron, here and here.

On BBC 4 Midnight news they lead with the news story but without mentioning HSBC, quite a feat. When she began at the BBC Fairhead was earning in excess of £500,000 per annum as a non-executive director of HSBC. She only resigned that post in April of this year. Since her appointment BBC has not reported major stories concerning HSBC crimes and their fines.
